Tea on the Green is an independent restaurant in the heart of Exeter, owned and managed by a team who are passionate about creating great food using local, free range produce brought to you with excellent table service.

Our restaurant is in a Sixteenth Century building overlooking Exeter’s historic Cathedral Green. Our seats are arranged on two floors and an outside dining area by the green. We are open Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm and Sundays 9am to 5pm. We serve breakfast all day, except on Sundays when we stop at midday and offer Sunday Roast for the rest of the day. Our extensive lunchtime menu is served through to closing time in the evening. Afternoon teas start at 2.30 offering the classic Devonshire cream tea

We are independently owned and managed so we see the importance in buying directly from local farmers, growers, roasters, blenders and brewers. One of the farms is so close that it can be seen from our upstairs dining room.

Sunday Lunch at Tea on the Green was magnificent (and inexpensive)
